I realize that as a "fashion blogger" I'm sort of expected to endorse this slightly haughty notion that strange and avante-garde are the only true ideals of style. Unfortunately, despite my aspirational attempts to muster this sentiment within, I continue to swoon for the simplest of things.
Sweetheart necklines, corset bodices, creamy lace, flowing skirts - my red carpet vices have, in fact, remained relatively unchanged since my days immersed in Pretty Pretty Princess.
If that doesn't make you tear up with nostalgia, I don't know what will.
Anyhow. My point is that - compared to those who aggregate a selection of weird and risky "favs" from this month's Cannes festival, my "prefs" (it's cool, I promise) may disappoint in their failure to shock and awe. Even so, I maintain that my guttural reaction is enough to legitimize their mention. And in truth, I'm really just getting a little too lazy to pretend that I'm cool.
So let's begin with the whole leotard-and-see-through-skirt thing, of which, despite my not-so-successful history with ballet (I'm quite possibly less graceful than a llama), I'm inexplicably fond.

And finally, a bunch of randos, for whom I've failed develop a cohesive theme.
[Just pretend I did though, and tell me what you'd guess it would be. This is my way of outsourcing psychoanalysis].
