I have a superiority complex.
Every time I see a tourist, I like to pretend that I'm somehow better.
Even if I'm really a photo-snapping loud-yapping traveler myself,
sometimes, I go out of my way to prove otherwise.
Like when I casually pass through Places des Vosges
- the Parisian hot spot that lies only minutes from my apartment.
I often compound the poser quotient by carrying groceries, or some other obvious indicator of my "local" status.
I'm sure all the tourists are saying to themselves -
"Oh hey - there goes that cool Parisian girl again with her euro-chic reusable grocery bag and apathetic air".

Looove your boots! I am a huge fan of wearing ankle boots with skirts, it's what I like to call badass chic! And you TOTALLY have that cool, Parisian local girl thing going on with your effortless style, and that certain je ne sais quoi. I would, without a doubt, roll around like a local if I was there {though my French is horrendously limited}. Needless to say, I'm jealous. Do you realize that you make me jealous on a daily basis? DAILY BASIS! Ahhh, Paris, I love thee.
