Things I Really Like But Probably Shouldn't: Part 1

After yesterday's slightly ranty (word?) post, 
I decided that I needed a little bit of a kick in the butt on the cheerfulness front. 

Not only that, but I resolved to stop pretending that I always dress in a fashion-conscience manner. 

Case in point: today.

 Little Mermaid/Pocahontas/fashion victim/color clashing - say what you will, but this little 'last hurrah' before summer's end was just what I needed to get me back into an experimental clothing mood.

A 90s throwback Puka necklace

I'd like to pretend that after my five minutes of fun - the childish absurdity of this ensemble struck me, and I stripped back down into something more understatedly sophisticated. 

I'd also like to pretend that Mr. Darcy loves me, most ardently, and that Ryan Gosling was thinking of my gorgeous smile while on the floor of that deserted farmhouse. 

In this case, however, the reality of the situation proved much more enjoyable than the wistful aspirations of adulthood.
