Look Sharp, Sconnie - Midwestern Fashion Nerd, Chronic Over-thinker

Tip Top.

I know I should probably try and space out my vintage store ravings, but...
I don't wanna.

Capiche?

In all seriousness, though, I love the fact that I'm currently plagued by an influx of shop features, rather than the abysmal black hole which I'd feared.

Today's star, Tip Top Atomic Shop (aside from sporting the coolest name of all time) specializes in "rockabilly" fare.

Though the owner, Jim, claims a laissez-faire decoration approach, I'm convinced that there's some sort of mastermind behind the refreshingly retro vibe emanating from the shop.
Just look at those walls. I could go for a good ol' sock-hop right about now, couldn't you?

Plus, I love the idea that Jim goes out every morning in hunt of new finds for his shop. It's like he's digging through the past each day just to help enable our incessant historical romanticization.
The shop's Hawaiian pieces don't hurt either. It's like a mini vacation in the middle of Milwaukee.

So if you're in the area, check out Tip Top Atomic Shop.
And please don't buy that cowskin purse.
I'm going back for it. I promise.

Cool recent article praising their coolness. Cool?

Cheers.

Looks like an awesome little store. Love that bag you found and all the hats and glasses! And yes, I do have to style my hair a bit, straighten my bangs at the very least :) Thanks for stopping by my blog!

ok first of all, can I express how cool it is that you feature different little hole-in-the-wall places each week or so on here?! You must live in an amazing area. This shop is so adorable, I would love to shop there! Ad seconds of all, can I Also express my deep and utter gratitude for your beyond sweet comment on my blog?! It's comments like yours that make blogging worth-it to me. Sometimes I look at all these amazing fashion blogs out there with 5,000+ followers and a bajillion comments and I get so discouraged. But thanks to comments like yours I don't feel like such a crappy little blogger afterall :) So thank you, so much!
