Look Sharp, Sconnie - Midwestern Fashion Nerd, Chronic Over-thinker

Chanel, Elle, and Gabrielle(a)'s

So as I sit here reminiscing on my NYFW experience, I'm thinking to myself...
Gaby from Collections (and I[Gabby])
Damn.
I am so happy not to be wearing heels right now.

I'm obviously also drooling with envy over the saliva-inducing ensembles bopping' around the NYC and the super fly events, like this Vintage Chanel Trunkshow hosted by e-Drop Off, that I already miss.
But for now, I just want to revel in the fact that not only did I get to attend what is arguably the world's greatest fashion extravaganza, but I got to do so with some seriously awesome blossom folks who really opened my eyes to what fashion can be.
If this past weekend at NYFW taught me anything, it's that personal style is nothing without personality. No matter how beautiful or thin or tan a person might be, there's just something so unspeakably contagious about the passion and energy of a truly kind and enthusiastic person that even Photoshop can't fake. I feel like blog readers can sense it, magazine readers can feel it, and runway spectators know when they're watching it, and I can't wait to show some of the cool people that I ran into.
Anyhow, cutting to the chase: Meeting other bloggers is cool. Meeting other bloggers you like is even cooler.
And meeting other bloggers with the same NAME as you, is really too cool for the average Earthling to comprehend.
Especially when they want to nerdify the fashion blogosphere as badly as you do.
(and write one of your all-time favorite blogs...I'm a professional super fan)

Because everything is better with a little Doby and a dash of Dumbledore.
Even Elle Magazine braid bars.

Cheers.

PS: This is not to in any way imply that either Gaby or I is Doby or Dumbledore.

Except that I call Doby.

{PSS: I'll talk more about how I got to go to nyc in a few weeks, but don't worry, I still have more to share!}
