Wait,
Deja-vu?
No.
Well, technically yes.
I mean, yes, you've deja-vued. But no, this post is not, in fact, a literal repeat of Monday's hatstragavanza (melodrama alert).
I thought that today I'd give you a little insight into how I'm dealing with this year's transition into fall. Or not dealing. if you will, considering that I'm essentially just wearing my summer goods right through the change in season.
Why? Because leather is luscious, and I'm also incidentally very very broke.
That's right folks. I know my luxurious designer brand goods (read Goodwill snags) deluded you into assuming that my funds were unlimited - but t'ain't so.
No, unfortunately I'm just a poor little college graduate hopelessly committed to her inappropriately short leather bottoms and endless oversized sweater collection.
So, here's to making it work.
To wool sweaters tucked into an overwhelming supply of high-waisted leather shorts and skirts and topped with what is fast becoming a full fledged hat-astrophic obsession. And though not pictured here, I can also envision a chunky necklace draped over this little get-up.
Alas. Though I truly wish that relevance could outdo convenience, for now I'm limited to what the Parisian thrift stores laid in my lap.
Never fear. I'll find a way to weird it up. I always do.
(Though I'm very open to suggestions.
Very.)
Cheers.
throw some tights on under those leather shorts and you've got yourself a winter outfit. LOVE the hat btw.

love this look, you look like the lovechild of carmen san diego and the man repeller in the best way possible. is there even a bad way where those two are involved? i too am constantly in the broke boat and my remedy is to just layer all of my favorites from the summer on top of each other. like hey button down shirt meet this weird sweatshirt from salvation army and y'all make friends with this vest that i've had since i was 10. just do that enough times over tights and hello fall!

My suggestion: Ignore the trends! Ah so much harder than it sounds! I love reading blogs, so I learn all about these trends which immediately make me want to shop shop shop! Which is too much money... I know I have great stuff in my closet, but I always want the newest stuff!!! My resolution right now is to dig a little deeper in my closet! (Clothes wise that it... I found a great sale and bought three pairs of shoes today :-/)
