In fact, I'm finding it rather difficult lately to channel a true version of myself -uninfluenced by the style decisions of others.

I know. Go figure.

Who'dathunk that between working in a clothes store, writing this little diddy of a blog, perusing other blogs incessantly, and online shopping like it's my job (never has this analogy rang more true) I'd be slowly tainted by the fashion senses of others?

(sarcasm)

It's unfortunate, really, because despite what seems like a sense of satisfaction with my current attire, I feel as if I've lost a bit of my personal flare. 

I attributed it to my need to conform to various public settings, but I think that there may be a larger piece at play.

Creativity takes passion. And passion, I'm finding, takes energy - a quality of which I haven't had much as of late. Could my somewhat demanding schedule, coupled with my deplorably inherent love of laziness, be contributing factors to the downfall of my aesthetic? Am I too tired to train my eye to see outside of the box? Is my satisfaction only a reflection of my success at conformity?

Or have I just started trying too hard to be a "cool blogger"? 

Sometimes I think that the outfits I DON'T blog about end up looking more "me" than the ones that I do. 

(For example: this outfit became a lot...weirder...once I layered up my top for warmth and cut down my bottoms for practicality. 

And by bottoms I mean shoes

I did not saw off my rear-end.

The price I pay for parallel sentence construction.)

So essentially, I'm either under-thinking it or over-thinking it.

Whichever the case, I'm convinced that a could punch of the "refresh" button would do me good. 

So who wants to "gift" me a trip to Hawaii?

Expedia? Orbitz? 

Anyone?
