Cream Copy

Oops.
I did it again.

Got lost in the game ... of mimicry.

Holy Britney god I'm good.

In all seriousness, though (or as much seriousness as a sub-par fashion blog of this sort can muster), I've just been copy-catting left and right recently.
And as much fun as it is to admit to you all that my sense of style is slowly devolving into that of those around me (in a cyber sense, of course), I'm growing a bit tired of this inability to be inspired by anything but girls with much cooler closets than my own.

Which is in no way to discount their creative ensembles, I assure you -
only to discount the lack of my own and to fess-up to my own serial inspiration outsourcing.

Grossest thing you've seen all day?
Nailed it.

Today I directly replicate the bombastic brain of Moeh Fashion and her all-white ensemble.
Colby Milano of MoehFashion
Well... all-white is probably pushing it.
Creams of clashing hues, really.

Creams of clashing hues.
Like 50 shades of grey..but vanilla-er. And asexual. And not the same thing at all.
There's really just something so beautiful about the almost-monochromatic look. Isn't there?
Something simple enough to be effortless, but just un-pure enough to be intriguing.
sweater: mom's old Benetton (similar), pants: J Brand, shoes: Joe's Jeans (similar & here), scarf: H&M (similar), watch: La Mer
And obviously the scarf is its own sort of perfection. Any day that I can get away with wearing a blanket as street wear is one worth repeating.

So, rest-assured that tomorrow will include some sort of variation on today's version of outfit mimicry. Because originality is overrated when repetition goes hand in hand with such satisfaction.

Cheers.

Your look is way better! I had a feeling that no matter what look you were inspired by, I would prefer yours because the proportions are just spot-on, and I LOVE those shoes! I really love mixing white and cream, too, though I've never worn it...just done it with decor. And that watch looks awesome on you ;) xx

Oh darling Gabrielle, white-on-white is possibly my favourite colour combination for balmy summer days! You have completely revolutionised this look for me though because I had never considered as an option for the chiller winter days but since darker tones are so ubiquitous in the darker seasons, I feel this is the perfect way to bring a little summer into the drearier weather. Plus, you look like the most heavenly snow angel ... and that's always a massive bonus.

Also love the accompanying prose, as always. <3

Hahaha, I don't think you're really copying, you're just inspired and make outfits with a little bit of your touch to them. Plus, they look uber pretty! ^^
