I don't know what it is that flips the switch in my mind.
The one that activates the obsession - the Jack Twist passion for random details that I just can't quit.
Oddly enough, it usually begins with hesitation - As a question, really.
Do I like this? Would I really wear it? And why?
It's always tragically specific, too.
Perfectly vertical heels, just-above-the-boob scoop neck tees, bar-shaped rings, pants with a thick seam on the top of the back pockets. . .
Like I said - specific.
Just in!: An obsession of a geometric sort.
Triangular-toed, if you will.
I blame it on Wang and his obnoxiously cool line of like-shaped shoes.
Just when I think I've found perfection, Google ads throws up another what-should-be-illegal side bar ad that tempts me out of whatever semblance of productivity I was exuding into a full-fledged drool fest.
Somehow, the shape of the toe even casts a more favorable light upon the once-abhorred kitten heel - the combo creating a sexy new version of my grandma's favorite footwear staple.
And that's what's so appealing. It's a classic with a twist - allowing for the perfect mix of vibes:
The effortless I-don't-overthink-my-style attitude paired with just the right hint of awareness.
So here's to triangles.
Because I love me a good shape pun.
