So, I'm trying out this new thing,
where I dress in a random theme
and then throw the word "chic" after it, in hopes that maybe I'll fool people into thinking that it's cool.
Today...
it's "Medieval" chic.
That's right folks.
Fresh off the jousting horse.
The thing is, I'm relatively close to giving up entirely on the inventing something new thing.
When it comes to outside-of-the-box thinking,
it seems I'm quite limited.
As an alternative, I've decided to just cover my bases by wearing everything old and uncool that appeals to me and mocking it ironically in hopes that one day, one of my made-up trends will result in a cultural phenomenon towards Gabby-esque style.

blouse: vintage (cool etsy one), jeans: UO, shoes: Tildon via Nordstrom (Sale!), metallic headband: Anthro |
And by Gabby-esque style, I just mean
style that follows no logic whatsoever while simultaneously garnering the weirdest of stares.
slash honks.
I mean...c'mon people.
at least do me the honor of a facetious whistle.
Anyhoo,
What era should I slaughter next?
Cheers.
That is a concept! And it works, I think it is the heels that make it.

Next up do the 20s! Love this.
ReplyDeleteGooooooorgeous photos. Great blouse. I was just thinking about this the other day! How will historians define this era in fashion? Because right now it kiiiinda feels like a free for all-anything goes. Are we afraid of what's in the future? Seems that everyone is feeling so nostalgic, longing for simpler times and certainly dressing the part.
