Look Sharp, Sconnie - Midwestern Fashion Nerd, Chronic Over-thinker

How to Look Cool in a Hospital.

If you flitted across
my usually annoyingly active Facebook page recently,
you may have noticed that, since Thursday,
I've been in a bit of a rut.

Both figuratively and literally, I guess,
if you consider that the rut that my derière was slowly but steadily creating was in fact into my increasingly uncomfortable hospital bed.

Because that's right, folks,
I was finally committed.
source
PSYCH.

well, half psyche.

Thursday evening on my way down to imbibe a wee bit of Thursday-night-requisite alcohol,
I (as Aragorn's favorite orc would put it) "took a little tumble", and was henceforth committed into the unfortunate world that is the IV/bedpan/sponge bath-laden land of the less fortunate....limbed?
Ok. Admittedly pushin' it on the alliteration front.

Anyhow, believe it or not, I was not in fact walking around in high heels, but boring non-worthy flats, when on Thursday, I so strangely fell and
broke. my. hip.
source
Yeah. I know.
Like that same hip that
90-year-old women break.

homegirl needs to upppp her calcium intakeeee.
wha whaa

And though I really really wanted to look all feminine and gentle like this :
I really really did not look all feminine and gentle like this.

So you can imagine what kind of daydreaming took place during my 4 day stay in fashion's hell hole.

It goes a lil' somn' somn' like this . . .

i'm guessing that the hospital where they're using the pink striped gowns with lime green accents isn't the free clinic my uninsured ass has to frequent. looks like you're getting well in style and at least this little hip snafu is giving you time to focus on the things that really matter like amazing polyvore sets.

Hi, I just found your blog and feel a bit intrusive but I really liked it,so I wanted to drop a line. Anyway, I really like your style and hope you get better soon! the pic of the girl in the hospital gown reminded me of the beginning of "marry the night" video, if you happen to know it...
