Except ...
for what I wear.
And you're all like WHHAAAAA??!!?
You ramble on about your clothes like errrrsingleday.
And to that I say:
Yes. Fine. I'm a rambler.
But what I am NOT, is a thinker-when-it-comes-to-my-wardrobe-er .
Oftentimes, in fact, the analysis comes retroactively - as I scroll through images of outfits I instantaneously regret.
Why? Because I base my style off of instinct. Not off of "trends" (unless said trends have surreptitiously infiltrated said instinct) (i.e. every day),
or "rules", or social "norms" - but off of how I feel and what version of "me" I'm in the mood to project.
This means that I can't plan ahead, and that the only outfit I wear twice, is that which I feel good in twice.
This, notably, rarely occurs.
Today is one of those occurrences.
This outfit was selected mid-workday, purchased post-workday, worn the next workday, and repeated today.
So why does this one last a week, when most don't last an hour?
I'd address this, but I believe that this is the point at which the over-thinking begins.

Cheers.
I love that you don't overthink outfits! Kind of done with blogs that explain their outfits as if it were science. It's exactly like you say, you wear what you feel good in! Plus you look really good in it too :)

A DASH OF FASH
Loved that last sentence haha. Beautiful photos, as always. I over-think SO many things. I only over think what I'm gonna wear out, but never when I post photos of myself (weird).
ReplyDeleteMay I ask what camera & lens you are using? It gives off that profesh vibe. :o

I probably over think my outfits and on the rare occasion that I don't think at all, the best results happen. Funny how that goes. Love your very feminine comfy chic look here. I am obsessed with anthro anything! I have a problem.
