not thinking for myself.

The best part about blogging is copying others' ideas.

Wait.
Um.
Anyways.
One of my favorite bloggers, Abigail of
Far and Wild Jewelry, wrote a post yesterday that turned me on . . . to some uncontrollably drool-worthy
jewelry brands that I now have to pretend that I knew about prior to reading said post.
Wait.
Um.
Anyways.

What IS it about the right rings that can make me feel like I'm a dainty celeb or killer rock star or Disney princess or, etc, etc, etc, etc?
Is it the ability to so
clearly see my style choice time and time again - the way I can't say, a pair of earrings or even a (very)
nicely-draped tee?
Or is it just the faux-effortlessness that is their existence? So seemingly simple (yet remarkably time consuming) to don individually, they exude this air of luxury without simultaneously connoting any real effort the way that a pair of heels, or a sequence top, or say, a tiara, cannot.
So here are a few rings that I'm pretty sure I can't live without.
Drool away, you babelicious babes.
Cheers.
so many good rings, and so much little money (on my end lol)
ReplyDeleteok firstly, i couldn't love this post more if i tried and i am seconding gaby's sentiment. sometimes i not so secretly wish that i had more fingers so that i could wear more rings. i really think you're on to something with the way they make us feel being tied to being able to see them all the time. it's kind of like shoes. a new pair of shoes does more for me than a new dress or top ever could because i get to stare at them all day long. and same goes for rings. sometimes during a lull in my day, or even a boring conversation, i'll find myself staring down lovingly at whatever i've outfitted my fingers in for the day. some days i'm like wow, i'm the new jackie o. other days i'm like move over marianne faithfull. and then there's always the pocahontas undertones. which brings me to your selection above. i audibly oohed and aahed at my computer. one was more beautiful than the next and all of them couldn't more perfectly capture your effortless mix of pocahontas meets arwen on the coolest camping trip ever. and you went and outdid me and introduced me to some new designers the websites of which i need to go obsessively stalk now. so thank you, as always, for the endless inspiration!
