After Instagramming, Tweeting, and Facebook-ing(?) above coat for a two solid days, it got me to wondering :
What's the best part about an outfit?
Not so much your outfit - that's more of a personal sentiment thing - but my outfit.
Your favorite blogger's outfit.
A celebrity street style star's outfit.
Is it the idea of the outfit? Is it just knowing, via a top-down footsie, that said voyeur-appreciative individual is wearing say, faux fur with white sneakers?
Or leather boots with a lace skirt?
Or is it the photogenicity(?) of the outfit? Could an outfit be great in person, but terrible via photograph? Is it a matter of angles and lighting that makes something a social media success?
Or is it the 'tude? Can you tell, via photo documentation, how that outfit is being worn? Could two equally beautiful bloggers share the same mirror selfie, but with one "wearing it better"? Is it the personality behind the clothes that makes them shine? Would you like anything say, Eva Chen, instagrammed, but feel differently about an obscure "nobody"?
Or is it piece-based?
Is my coat the sole matter of intrigue in these photos? Are you persuaded by the plaid alone?
What do you find makes you double click that Instagram pick? Thumbs up the FB update? Star the Tweet? Do you even think about it, or is it instinct?
